#ABWK Phase II

Phase II of A Brush With Kindness took place in Lynmore Estates June 20-24, 2017. Resident youth worked installing simple modifications to accommodate seniors. Here are testimonials from #ABWK Phase II.

J. Smith “Each time I work with Habitat, I have learned something new. This time I learned about the proper use of tools, the value of measurement, and the benefit of team work. I hope we get to do this more often.”

J. Chappell “I learned to be respectful to my neighbors in their homes.”

C. Collier “I learned the importance of measuring twice before cutting or drilling anything!”

K. Collier “I learned how to work together with my team when there was a problem and even got to serve as crew leader on the first project.”

K. Ivey “I learned to build stairs and a better team by working together.”

E. Murphy “I learned to be sensitive to my team mates and their points of view when working on projects because they may see things in a different way and their way could work better overall.”

Participants left to right: J. Chappell, J. Smith, C. Collier, E. Murphy, C. Collier, K. Ivey, and D. Taylor (not pictured).
