In honor of Earth Day, volunteers stood up, join up and took action with residents in Lynmore Estates for quarterly neighborhood cleanup. The cleanup started with a meet-up at Southside Community Church on Roy Ave, where resident leaders lead the group in prayer and head the charge with mapping out the plan for the 10-streets cleanup. A total of 18 bags of trash and debris were collected at end of cleanup. The residents and their leaders continue to be good stewards of the planet, Macon, and their community of Lynmore.
Funding for the program was provided by Community Development Block Grant Program.
