Refresh & Recharge Lynmore Estates Neighborhood Cleanup

In recognition of National Battery Day, Lynmore Estates partnered with Batteries Plus-Tom Hill Sir. BLVD. to collect old batteries for recycling during the quarterly neighborhood cleanup. The 16 residents and participating volunteers met at Southside Community Church on Roy Ave, where resident leaders lead the group in prayer, Christine Pearson, and head the charge with mapping out the plan for the 10-streets cleanup, Ernestine Thomas. A total of 22 bags of trash and debris were collected at end of cleanup. Lynmore Estates has refresh from yesterday for a better today in their community. The residents and their leaders continue to recharge Lynmore Estates in being the model community for a better Macon.

Funding for the program was provided by Community Development Block Grant Program.

Sponsors: Batteries Plus-Tom Hill Sir. BLVD, Southside Community Church, Countryside Church, Macon-Bibb ECDD, Macon-Bibb Solid Waste Department, Macon-Bibb County Sheriff Dept., and Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.
