Feed and Read in Lynmore Estates

Mrs. LaJeune Williams, Bibb County School Literacy Coach and Project Facilitator, reading a story to the children participating in the Lynmore Estates “Feed and Read” Pilot at Southside Community Life and Learning Center from June 29-July 15, 2016. The pilot program is funded by the Rotary Downtown Macon and managed by MAHFH’s Dr. Sundra Woodford, , MAHFH Community Relations Manager and Project Manager, in an effort to address the reading lag experience by many children over the summer. Thirty-four children signed up for the program whereby they receive a free lunch sponsored by the Bibb County School summer food service program and reading enrichment. The program will culminate with an ice cream social on July 15, 2016 at 12:30 PM to celebrate scholastic achievement and reading.
