Lynmore Estates OPERATION: Blight Out of Sight Neighborhood Cleanup

One hundred and five volunteers participated on Saturday, October 24, 2015 for the “OPERATION: Blight Out of Sight” neighborhood cleanup in Lynmore Estates with a focus on San Carlos Avenue. Volunteer crews also cleared out debris from two homes on Worsham Avenue in preparation for deconstruction. Over 8,000 pounds of trash and debris including 38 filled garbage bags were collected from the 10 streets of this rebounding neighborhood.

Now with over 30 Habitat homes in Lynmore Estates, Macon Area Habitat for Humanity has rebuilt the neighborhood through neighborhood revitalization and fighting blight. As these projects are continued, new organizations and programs are forming in Lynmore Estates.
