Lynmore Estates Resurrection Cleanup

The sun was shining and the weather was fair as 79 residents of Lynmore Estates and community members of Macon-Bibb embarked upon Lynmore Estates' first neighborhood cleanup of the year. The Resurrection Neighborhood Cleanup was a success from beginning to end. From the groups' initial meeting at Southside Baptist Church on Roy Avenue, where some of the youth read scriptures leading to the resurrection from the Bible, to the closing event at Countryside Baptist Church on Carmen Place, where cleanup volunteers were provided lunch, which coincided with the church’s monthly Soup Kitchen and Clothes Bank. Fifty seven bags of trash and debris was collected from the 10-streets of the neighborhood. There could not have been a better day for a neighborhood cleanup in one of the best neighborhoods of Macon, Georgia ahead of the Resurrection Reenactment and the Cherry Blossom Festival.
