Lynmore Estates February 2015 Yard of the Month

Macon, Georgia (February 12, 2015)---Lynmore Estates Neighborhood Watch Association in partnership with the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity (MAHFH) selects a LYNMORE ESTATES YARD OF THE MONTH among residents of its 10 street neighborhood. Nominations are received from neighborhood residents with judging conducted monthly by representatives of the Keep Macon Bibb Beautiful Commission, Four Seasons of Georgia Landscaping Co., Middle GA State College, Porter Field Garden Club and Asplundh Tree Service Company and retirees. The following criteria are used to determine the winner:

Curb or eye appeal;

Enhancement of the neighborhood;

Mature trees incorporated into the landscape; and

Use of plant material/garden art that creates a unified theme.

The Brooks Family of Marion Avenue were chosen as the Lynmore Estates (LE) February 2015 Yard of the Month winners. Barbara and Dennis Brooks have been in their Habitat Home since December of 2009. Details observed on the lawn, porch and house provide clues to time and attention given by the owners. Mrs. Brooks indicated that she and her husband love having their family over for food, fun, and fellowship. She wants her home to feel inviting. The Brooks are proud that their house stands out and even more proud to have received the Yard of the Month Award.

Winners of the Lynmore Estates Yard of the Month receive a “Yard of the Month” sign for display in the winning yard; recognition of the yard on the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity and Lynmore Estates websites; framed Certificate of Award presented by the Lynmore Estates Yard of the Month Committee; and $25 Gift Certificate to Minton’s Lawn and Garden Center
