Lynmore Estates Canine Census

The sun was out and the sky was blue with a few clouds in the sky on this somewhat chilly yet perfect winter afternoon in the middle of February. Lynmore Estates was for the most part peaceful with little bustle as children played on the streets and residents enjoyed their day. Of course some ruckus was finally heard when the dogs of Lynmore Estates took notice of the sudden new crowd of volunteers wandering the streets and going door to door knocking on doors asking about residents' pets. As barks rang out through the air, it remained peaceful with many volunteers meeting friendly dogs with loving owners or dogs who simply had good temperament. Most of the residents who volunteers met with were kind and more than willing to talk to volunteers about their pets, listing names and ages and care for their pets. Contrary to what some may have thought with the bright yellow vests, these volunteers weren't here to inspect and criticize pet owners of Lynmore Estates. Habitat for Humanity volunteers paired with rescue groups such as the Peach Orchard rescue group and Macon Paws and Adopt rescue to find the needs of pet owners in Lynmore Estates. With basic shots, dog food, cat food, collars, harnesses, leashes, dog houses, and other items stocked up in their vehicles, the volunteers were more than ready to aid those of Lynmore Estates who love their pets but may need some assistance. Residents were able to finally have a voice with volunteers who love animals and are willing to help them give their pets the care they need including discussing spaying and neutering animals at no cost. This event has helped enlighten the residents of Lynmore Estates and give them a voice for their pets and other animals in Lynmore Estates in helping finding aid for those who cannot speak. If you or anybody else needs aid with your animals, do not be afraid to speak up to groups such as Macon Paws and Adopt who are willing to help those in need because our pets are family to us and it is important to treat them as such.
