August Yard of the Month

Tina Jolly of 4169 Roy Avenue is the first winner of the reinstated Yard of the Month (YOM) Award Program which supports current revitalization efforts in the Lynmore Estates neighborhood. Tina moved to the neighborhood three years ago and is a proud resident of Lynmore Estates. She enjoys gardening and has made many changes and upgrades to her yard over the past couple of years. Drive by 4169 Roy Avenue and view the August 2013 Yard of the Month winner.

The Lynmore Estates Yard of the Month committee chooses one yard in this south Macon neighborhood. A "Yard of the Month" sign is posted on the property for the month and the property owner is given a framed certificate and a $25 gift certificate from Minton’s Lawn and Garden Center. The presentation is photographed for inclusion on the Lynmore Estates and Macon Area Habitat for Humanity websites and for submission to the "Neighbors” section of the Telegraph for publication. Winners of the Yard of the Month automatically qualify for the Yard of the Year Award which carries a bigger prize.
