

Georgia Safe Routes to School Forum – June 5, 2015
As the morning sunlight gleamed over the horizon, Central High School’s parking lot was filled with cars sporting license plates from all over the state of Georgia from Savannah to Augusta to Macon and Atlanta. The occasion was the Georgia Safe Routes to School Forum, an annual conference which is held for one day every year in the summer to discuss ways to improve the rates of students who walk or ride their bikes to school every day.

Jennifer Gagne Named Among Questbridge Finalists
Jennifer Gagne was one of five college-bound seniors from Bibb County who was declared QuestBridge Finalists. QuestBridge aims to increase the number of talented low-income students attending the nation’s top universities. Civic Education Program Open to High School Students

Local Health and Safety Fair Hosted at Southwest High School
It was a rainy morning including some brief storms, but that didn't stop citizens of Macon, GA from loading up their cars and making their way to Southwest High School for the health and safety fair the school hosted February 21, 2014. The morning of July 20, 2013 held Lynmore Estates' second Neighborhood Clean-up event of this summer. It was held from 8am to noon, and was packed full with volunteers, cleaning supplies, collecting trash, and who can forget the gnats? Overall, it was a very organized event and extremely successful.
