

Top Cop Leads Walk for Safety in Bibb County
Macon-Bibb County Sheriff David Davis and some of his deputies visited neighbors in Lynmore Estates Thursday evening of 10/29/15 in a Walk for Safety.


Lynmore Estates OPERATION: Blight Out of Sight Neighborhood Cleanup
One hundred and five volunteers participated on Saturday, October 24, 2015 for the “OPERATION: Blight Out of Sight” neighborhood cleanup in Lynmore Estates with a focus on San Carlos Avenue. Volunteer crews also cleared out debris from two homes on Worsham Avenue in preparation for deconstruction. Over 8,000 pounds of trash and debris including 38 filled garbage bags were collected from the 10 streets of this rebounding neighborhood.


Leading the Way
Nine neighborhood leaders of Lynmore Estates participated in Habitat for Humanity International’s (HFHI) for Resident Leadership Institute, Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 9 am – 4 pm at the Macon Habitat office.


Kid’s Count in Lynmore Estates
Twenty-two resident youth counted street features in their 10-street neighborhood during their fall school break on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015. The group surveyed street lighting, sewer drainages, signage, occupied structures, etc. The data collected will be add to the current assessment of blight in the neighborhood. Items requiring service or repair will be reported through the SeeClickFix app to Macon-Bibb County.


Cornering the Market
Lynmore Estates resident Mary Morales refinished a corner shelving unit to house the awards that Lynmore Estates has received recognizing its environmental stewardship. The awards will be displayed on this shelf until it can be placed in its permanent home in the future neighborhood center.
