Lynmore Estates received the Environment Leadership Award in the neighborhood category at the annual Middle Georgia Earth Day Kickoff Luncheon on April 22, 2015 at the Ocmulgee National Monument. The sun was shining high in the sky all day as temperatures climbed to nearly 90 degrees with high levels of humidity thickening the air. It was the perfect day in Lynmore Estates to plant this year’s community garden on Irving Avenue which will provide the neighborhood with many vegetables such as various peas, tomatoes, corn, and other crops donated to the neighborhood. After planting the garden in the morning, many volunteers left for a lunch break until returning to work
